Equestrian Business Awards 2025 – Celebrating Equine Therapists & Equestrian Businesses

We attended the Equestrian Business Awards 2025 in Peterborough and the first in-person Equestrians Connect event. It was a brilliant chance to showcase Equicantis, meet equestrian entrepreneurs, and celebrate outstanding equine therapists through the Equine Therapist of the Year Award.

On Saturday, we (Laura & Dave) were in Peterborough for the Equestrian Business Awards 2025 – and it was such an inspiring day!
Not only did we attend the awards dinner in the evening, but we were also part of the first ever in-person event from The Equestrian Entrepreneurs Network: Equestrians Connect.

This dual event brought together equestrian business owners, equine therapists, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across the UK, creating a powerful space for connection and industry celebration.

The daytime event, Equestrians Connect, was an incredible opportunity to:

  • Set up our stand and introduce Equicantis to new professionals

  • Talk about how we support equine and canine therapists with streamlined business and rehab tools

  • Meet other equestrian business owners doing amazing work

  • Make genuine connections with people dedicated to improving horse welfare and the wider equestrian industry

The atmosphere was buzzing with collaboration and curiosity - exactly the kind of environment that fuels innovation within the equine therapy and equestrian business space.

Proud Sponsors of the Equine Therapist of the Year Award

In the evening we attended The Equestrian Business Awards, where Equicantis proudly sponsored the Equine Therapist of the Year Award — an award close to my heart both personally and professionally.

Over the last four months, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know this year’s four finalists a little better, and each one represents passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to equine wellbeing:

Katie Buncombe – Equifex Therapy
Jade Varley – J Varley Veterinary Chiropractor & Massage Therapist
Shelley Mannion – Equi-Flex
Jodie Worboys – Magique Hands

A huge congratulations to winner Jodie Worboys! 🎉
Your work, knowledge, and commitment to ongoing CPD shines through in everything you do.

As someone who has lived the life of an equine musculoskeletal therapist, I know just how much goes into this profession - the long hours, the training, the varied qualification routes, and the constant pursuit of learning to support horses in the best ways possible.
It is always a privilege to honour therapists who pour their heart into their work.

From a personal perspective, it was also amazing to see so many businesses from North Wales and Cheshire represented and recognised throughout the evening.
The level of talent, innovation, and dedication coming out of our region made me incredibly proud.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO KATY & THE TEAM

The entire event, from the daytime networking to the evening awards ceremony, was flawlessly organised by Katy Wright, founder of The Equestrian Business Awards.

Her commitment to creating opportunities for equestrian businesses to connect, learn, and be celebrated is making a genuine difference in our industry.

It was an uplifting, motivating, and heartwarming day - and I’m already looking forward to next year!
